Thanksgiving Baskets & Holiday Gifts
Each year, MFC provides the items needed to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal- including a frozen turkey- to over 400 local families. This program would not be possible without several major partnerships, including the Inn at Silvercreek, the Grand County Sheriff’s Office, City Market and generous donors and volunteers like YOU who give food, money, or time to help make the program a success. The Thanksgiving Baskets have come to be a favorite MFC program among staff, volunteers and the community, as it truly captures the giving, collaborative spirit of Grand County. To sign-up for a Thanksgiving basket, visit one of our food pantries in Granby or Kremmling. To support this program, you can donate here.
The deadline to register as a participant is November 30, 2022.
On average, 300 children (over 100 families) receive gifts through this program each year. Once again, this would not be possible without the generosity of our community.
MFC coordinates with the other holiday gift programs in the county, including Joyful Givers in Grand Lake and the Angel Tree in Cooper Creek Square, to ensure that each family is only supported through one program so that there are enough gifts to go around.
