About Meg
Meg was born and raised on a small farm in Texas. After college, she moved to NYC to pursue a career in writing and experience life in a big city! After leaving NYC in 2016, she was ready to go back to rural life, and moved to a village in France to work at a writing retreat. When her season in France was over, a friend encouraged her to move to the mountain town of Granby to work at C Lazy U Ranch. Meg fell in love with the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, and decided to make Grand County her home in the fall of 2016. Meg wanted to become more involved with helping her fellow community members, so she joined the MFC family in 2021. At MFC, Meg is the Community Outreach Coordinator, which includes marketing, volunteer coordination and community engagement. She also works at the Kremmling food pantry. She likes how every day at MFC is different; she enjoys helping customers at the food pantry in her hometown of Kremmling, and getting to meet new people working in Granby. Meg previously worked as a reporter for two local newspapers. In her free time, Meg and her husband enjoy being outdoors snowboarding, camping and hiking!
