Role at MFC: Thrift Store Associate
What are you previous educational, work or life experiences that relate to your role at MFC?
I spent a great number of years in the hospitality/service industry. With exposure to working with so many different people you have to be able to help them with their questions,needs,etc; as well as enjoying people in general. I believe this experience transitions well into my role working with the public in the Thrift Store.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
There are a couple of things I enjoy about working at MFC. I appreciate being part of a nonprofit with so many great programs to help the Grand County community, our neighbors. I myself have been the recipient of some of the programs available and could not be more grateful. Fortunately, another great aspect of the job is having great coworkers. The entire staff at MFC are wonderful. The atmosphere is positive, which makes for an enjoyable working environment; all resulting in a great team.
What do you like to do for fun, or what are your hobbies?
For hobbies/fun I never take our beautiful valley for granted; the great outdoors. l most enjoy being in the company of the many friends I have made over the more than 50 years I have lived in the Fraser Valley, which is home.
