Community Fitness Centers

Mountain Life Fitness Center (Granby):
Ageless Fitness classes Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:15am. Gym memberships available.
Granby Recreation Department (Granby):
Offers a variety of fitness classes at Granby Community Center.
Middle Park Health Wellness Center (Kremmling):
Offers fitness and wellness classes. Senior discounts for gym membership.
Fraser Valley Rec District (Fraser):
Offers a wide range of Silver Sneakers fitness classes, Aqua Fitness, and adult Rec sport programs. Transportation provided to Aqua Fitness.
Grand Lake Center (Grand Lake):
Offers many Silver Sneakers fitness classes and community programs.
NUTRITION

Nutrition Education

Nutrition Counseling – Grand Seniors at MFC has a certified nutrition counselor on staff to provide personalized nutrition counseling for older adults. For more information or to set up an appointment, call 970-557-3186 and ask for Bailey.

Nutrition Support

Senior Lunches – Fraser and Granby meal gatherings are on hold at this time. Kremmling meal site is back up and running, as of July 6th, 2021! Click HERE for more info and menu.

Bountiful Baskets- Weekly delivery of supplemental groceries such as fruit, vegetables, milk, eggs and microwavable meals for community members age 60+. This service is available at no charge (voluntary donations always appreciated) to those who are struggling to afford adequate nutrition and/or are without transportation to the food pantry. Call Grand Seniors at 970-887-3222 for more info or to sign up.

Food Pantry Assistance – Mountain Family Center’s food pantries are here for those needing additional nutrition support. There are no eligibility requirements to use our food pantries, come pick up a food box as you need. Locations and hours of operation can be found HERE.

Commodity Supplemental Food Program – The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) works to improve the health of low-income persons at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA Foods once a month. If you are interested in signing up for a CSFP box call us at, 970-557-3186.

Ensure Nutrition Supplements – If you or a loved one is struggling to consume enough nutrition, we provide reduced-cost Ensure Nutrition shakes. Please call Susan at 970-887-3222 to order.

Support Groups

Caregiver Support Group: None in Grand County at this time. Please visit Vintage (our NW Colorado Agency on Aging) for information on other caregiver resources.

Health Fairs:

9 News Health Fairs: 9Health Fair offers free and low-cost health screenings and education programs that promote health awareness. 9 News hosts two health fairs in Grand County per year; one in Fraser in the Fall, and one in Granby in the Spring. Visit 9Health to find a fair.
Middle Park Health Fair: Middle Park Health hosts health fairs in Kremmling and Walden offering many free and low-cost blood tests, health screenings, and provider support. Visit Middle Park Health for upcoming health fair dates.

Foot Care Clinic

Offered throughout the year at Mountain Family Center/Grand Seniors in Granby. See our monthly newsletter or check back for upcoming dates and times!
Cost: $30 for 30 minutes.
Foot care clinic services include palpitation of pedal pulses, monofilament test (i.e. screening for loss of protective sensation), trimming, filing nails, filing of calluses, lotion, blood pressure checks and medication review. Call 970-887-3222 if interested in an appointment for our next Foot Care Clinic or if you need more info.
