Helen Sedlar, President & Executive Director

Helen joined the Mountain Family Center team in January 2013. Helen has an ABJ degree from the University of Georgia. Helen’s background offers 24 years of nonprofit experience in Grand County. She was Development Director at Kremmling Memorial Hospital, Development and Marketing Manager at Grand Foundation, Development and Marketing Manager at Grand County Rural Health Network, and Customer Relations Manager and Special Events Director at the National Sports Center for the Disabled.

Mandi Schott, Assistant Director, Family Development Specialist & Thrift Store Manager

Mandi has lived in Grand County for over twelve years and has been working for Mountain Family Center for over five years. She has an extensive knowledge of local resources and has completed a Family Development Credentialing Program offered by Cornell University through CSU. Her education also includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Metropolitan State University in Colorado. Email Me

Terry Sidell, Health Advocate Program Manager

Terry has lived in Grand County her whole life. She began her first professional career in the East Grand School district and taught elementary school for 16 years and then was the principal of Grand Lake Elementary School until she retired in 2009. Terry joined Mountain Family Center in the spring of 2013. Since then she has partnered with the Lions Club to get glasses to adults who need them and also works to secure funding for individuals with dental and auditory needs. Terry helps distribute the cancer funds and is looking forward to working with the seniors in whatever programs are created and made available. Katie Stuvel, Marketing & Events Coordinator 

Katie was born and raised in Littleton, CO but fell in love with Grand County when she started visiting Winter Park in 2006. She and her husband, Andrew, made the big move up to the mountains in the fall of 2009 when Andrew accepted a job as an Electrician at Winter Park Resort.

They (along with their dog and two cats) are now proud to call Tabernash home! Katie has always been interested in helping people find the resources they need to work towards a more sustainable and self-reliant existence. She studied International Agriculture at CSU in Fort Collins, with the goal of helping people in developing countries implement more productive and sustainable farming methods. After graduating, doing some traveling and working for the USDA in North Dakota for a few years, Katie ended up in Grand County! The mission and programs of Mountain Family Center appealed to Katie, and she joined the team as the Marketing and Events Coordinator in October of 2016. katie@mountainfamilycenter.org

Linda Crane, Family Development Coordinator

Linda joined Mountain Family Center in the Fall of 2015. Originally from California, as a youngster she spent many family summer vacations at her grandparents’ cabin overlooking Lake Granby. After graduating from Fresno City College with an A.S. in Secretarial Science she worked clerical and secretarial positions in the fields of retail, banking, insurance, and telecommunications. She had an enjoyable 30 year career with Pacific Telephone & Telegraph/AT&T, retiring as a Service Representative-Business at the end of 2008.Linda and her husband, Kelly, made the move to Grand County in late 2009. Lydia Bloem, Nutrition & Wellness Program Manager and Family Development Coordinator

Lydia was born and raised in a small town in Michigan, and throughout her childhood she would vacation in Silverton, Colorado with her family. In 2012, she graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelors in English Literature and moved to Denver to pursue a career in Elementary Education. When her husband got a job in Grand County, Lydia was more than happy to make the move. She was hired at Mountain Family Center in 2015, and working for the organization has only encouraged her natural inclination to help her neighbors.

Nancy Strohecker, Administrative and Development Coordinator

Nancy has lived and worked in Grand County for over 30 years.  She joined Mountain Family Center Staff on a part time basis in 2014.  She has had a long career in Administration with the Winter Park Resort where her background, education and experience in administration suited her well to work at Mountain Family Center where she provides front office, data base, program manager, thrift store, food pantry, fundraising and Board support. Molly Bruchez, Program Specialist

As a program specialist with Mountain Family Center, Molly coordinates nutrition and wellness efforts in West Grand through programs such as Coordinated Approach to Child Health (CATCH), Cooking Matters, EatPlayGrow and Exploring Foods. Molly is a registered dietitian with a passion for helping others improve their health through real food. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg and a Master’s degree in Nutrition from Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

Jordyn Crane, Nutrition and Wellness Program Manager

Raised on a homestead in Northern Illinois, Jordyn recently moved to Grand County to get some fresh mountain air and begin her career as a nutrition professional. Jordyn completed her Bachelors degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Northern Illinois University, followed by her dietetic internship through Montana State University – Bozeman, with an emphasis in sustainability and food access. She joined the Mountain Family Center this summer as an additional Nutrition and Wellness Program Manager. She is thrilled at the opportunity to use her knowledge to help fight hunger, and to foster health and wellness in her community by instructing Eat Play Grow, Exploring Foods, and Cooking Matters classes.

DeeAnna Jones, Office Manager

DeeAnna moved full-time to Hot Sulphur Springs in July of 2017 and joined the MFC team at the end of August 2017.  She has been married for 30 years to her husband, Kevin, and has 3 grown daughters who live in Arvada. Kevin retired from their tree company in December of 2016 and was ready to leave the hectic Denver metro area and head for the hills.

They have been coming to the Grand County area on the weekends for over 26 years. DeeAnna’s last day with their tree company was June 30, 2017, where she had worked as the Office Manager for 27 ½ years.  DeeAnna has found her new home here at MFC.  She loves to help people and is excited about the opportunity to be involved in the Grand County Community. The summer time is her favorite time to go walking, hiking, riding ATV’s and be adventurous.

Lucinda Elicker, Thrift Store Sorting Room and Sales Associate

Lucinda was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Grand County in 1995. She came out to be a ski instructor for a season or two, and has been here ever since! Lucinda has two sons who attend East Grand Middle School, and they love to mountain bike, ski, hike, snowshoe and just enjoy the Colorado outdoors as a family!

Lucinda also stays busy running her pet care business, Wag Away Pet Services. Previous work experience for Lucinda includes many years in the customer service sector, with roles from Waitress to Executive Director. Her favorites aspects of working at MFC are her coworkers and seeing the organization grow. Lucinda is a very valuable member of our team and helps the thrift store run smoothly and efficiently!

Lori Lunde, Thrift Store Assistant Manager

Lori joined MFC in the fall/winter of 2017 as the Assistant Manager of our thrift store, Main Street Thrift. She has been in Colorado for 38 years and is married with two beautiful daughters and two adorable grandchildren! In her free time, Lori enjoys hiking, cross-country skiing and playing the guitar. Lori brings over 40 years of retail, management and merchandising experience to her position at MFC and we couldn’t be more excited to have her on our team! Her favorite thing about working for Mountain Family Center is the ability to work with such an inspiring group of people, who all come together to create so much care for our community.

Elizabeth Willman, Food Pantry Associate

Elizabeth was born and raised in Grand County, Colorado.  She graduated from Middle Park High School in 2015 and has volunteered at Mountain Family Center since before her graduation, helping in both our Food Pantry and fundraising events such as Hearty Soups For Empty Bowls.

She joined the MFC team as a part-time employee in 2017 and we rely on Elizabeth for her attention to detail and organizational skills in our Food Pantry as well as other areas where needed. She will be leaving us to attend the University of Central Missouri at Warrensburg in August of 2017, but has told us she will come help us again when she comes home for holidays!
