Community Support Programs

Rent, Mortgage and Utility Assistance
MFC helps families and individuals with one time assistance for rent, mortgage, or utilities.

Backpack/School Supply Program
The Grand County Board of Realtors has championed this program for MFC and each summer helps us raise money to buy backpacks and school supplies for local children in need. We distribute these supplies in the fall to students at schools in Fraser, Granby and Kremmling.

Holiday Programs
MFC supports family traditions during the holiday seasons.  MFC hosts an anonymous holiday gift-giving and food basket program in November and December.

Volunteer Program
MFC recruits and manages 50-100 volunteers annually to assist with hunger relief holiday programs, the food pantries, Totes, thrift store, community garden, administrative work, and events.  Volunteer numbers surge to 350 if we count each middle school student who assist 1-2 times during the school year packing Totes.

Cancer-Related Services
Any Grand County resident undergoing diagnosis or treatment of any type of cancer is eligible for MFC's cancer-related services regardless of income or insurance status. Reimbursement provided for expenses related to: travel expenses/mileage, hotel stays during out-of-county screenings and treatments, prescription meds and over-the-counter pharmacy needs, other expenses upon approval.

Coat Closet/Thrift Store
MFC has a centrally located coat closet/thrift store. Clothing items are donated by community members to provide free or discounted apparel to anyone in need. Clothing is available for newborns, children, teens and adults.
